Kineseotaping
Kineseotape also known as K-tape is an elastic adhesive tape that provides support and stability to joints and muscles, improves circulation and doesn’t affect range of motion. K-tape is also used in prevention maintenance after injury, to treat pain and chronic oedema. The K-tape is a technique based on the body’s own healing process. The k-tape exhibits its efficacy through the activation of neurological and circulatory systems. Kineseo is the science behind movement. Muscles are the main controllers of movement in our bodies, yet they also play vital roles in circulation, temperature and maintaining our normal upright positions. Therefore it is logical understanding that the failure of a muscle or muscle group can effect of functioning quite dramatically creating various forms of symptoms. Using k-tape it has been discovered that muscles as well as other body tissues can be aided by an external source. K-tape is applied over muscles, joints and ligaments to reduce pain and inflammation whilst providing stability and support all while not restriction natural movement of the joint. Some examples of syndromes that k-tape can be used to treat include:
- Muscular facilitation or inhibition
- Carpel tunnel syndrome
- Lower back pain and strain
- Knee conditions
- Shoulder conditions
- Groin injuries
- Whiplash
- Plantar fasciitis
- Post-surgical oedema
- Lymphedema after mastectomy
